Mets poet
One posting I found in the New York Times entitled A Poet of the Mets Versifies of Gloom I found to be particularly interesting. It talks about a 39 year old die hard Mets fan named Frank Messina who is also a poet. As you may or may not know the New York Mets have lost 10 of there last 14 games and are on the verge of not making the playoffs. But like all loyal sports fans Messina goes to every home game, and still writes poetry about his beloved Mets. America could use more loyal friends like Mr. Messina.

Hey Brian,
As a Buffalo Sabres and BIlls fan I can relate to your and Frank's plight.
By the way, are you a music fan? The indie rock band Yo La Tengo from Hoboken New Jersey, are not only an excellent musical group but die hard Mets fans as well.
